The Ram 2500 for 2024 will have a big impact on the heavy-duty truck market with what is expected to include a mid-cycle redesign and more advanced technology. Here's a preview from us at Price Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Floresville TX regarding what's being reported about the next edition of the Ram 2500.
For 2024, the new Ram 2500 will continue to offer a pair of powertrain choices. One is a standard 6.4 liter gas-powered V8 engine that will deliver more than 400 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. The other powertrain hasn't yet been announced but Ram may offer a 48-volt mild hybrid that's already available with some engines in the Ram 1500.
The next edition of the Ram 2500 will have advanced features like an available new 12-inch digital cluster and an available digital rear view mirror that will come with side camera integration. More advanced safety technology might also be available and could include a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring and a lane-keeping assist feature.
The cabin of the 2024 Ram 2500 should continue to be very comfortable and functional and the top trim will feature an abundance of leather upholstery. It's expected that both an 8.4-inch and the 12 0-inch touch screen will be available, giving you easy access to vital information. The Regular Cab will not include back seats but the Crew Cab will have a roomy back seat and the Mega Cab will give you 43 inches of rear leg room.
The 2024 version of the Ram 2500 will feature a large grille with the Ram logo in the center. Large headlights will frame the grille and will include LED technology for better visibility. The hood is handsomely contoured with thick lines that suggest the strength under the hood. On the sides, the new Ram 2500 will have a strong and chiseled profile. The new body is wider and taller than before, giving it an even more commanding presence.
One significant upgrade in the 2024 Ram 1500 is expected to be the Clearview camera monitoring system. This system can switch back and forth between regular rear view mirrors and video displays that give you greater visibility. This new mirror design is reportedly going to be available in both power and manual formats. Other new features include 360-degree cameras, LED turn signals, heated glass and new tow cameras.
While details haven't been announced, it's reported that the Ram 2500 for 2024 will have a base price of around $40,000 and the Limited Luxury trim will start at around $76,000.
The base engine will come with410 horsepower. Since the other engine hasn't yet been disclosed, we will find out later how much horsepower is available in the engine of what's expected to be a mild hybrid powertrain.
The 2024 Ram 2500 will once again be a very safe vehicle, as you can tell from the features mentioned earlier. One other available option will be an adaptive cruise control system to help you maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle in front of you.
